Organisation: Radioactive Waste Management Limited
Creating a safer future by managing radioactive waste effectively, to protect people and the environment.
Radioactive Waste Management Limited (RWM) is the Government-owned company established to deliver a geological disposal facility (GDF) and provide solutions for the management of radioactive waste. The GDF represents a major multi-million pound national infrastructure programme. RWM, as the developer, will work in partnership with communities that are willing to participate in the siting process.
To support that process, an Advisory Council is being created to assist RWM in the provision of specialist expertise, knowledge, understanding and strategic direction, from outside of the organisation, in the delivery of its mission. Acting as a sounding board, it seeks to enhance the process and approach of RWM to deliver thorough and sound decision making, backed by high quality judgement and expertise.
A balance of expertise and experience from a range of specified backgrounds will be sought across a range of disciplines including regional/national government, regeneration, social sciences, economics, nuclear, geological and/or major programme delivery. You will use your renowned specialisms and interests for providing good quality advice, sound judgement and expert opinion in order to maximise the impact of this nationally significant project.
Closing date for applications is Monday 20th March 2017
