Organisation: Nigeria based conglomerate
Manager (UK-based) – Nigeria based conglomerate
Our client is a well-regarded and well known Nigerian conglomerate that has businesses covering major sectors of the Nigeria economy, namely: foods & agro-allied; real estate, infrastructure, energy and services. Through additional portfolio investments, the Group is also a significant provider of capital to other sectors of Nigeria’s economy including financial services, telecommunications and security management.
We have been retained to hire a Business Manager to be based in London to provide a range of services to the Chairman, to various companies in the Group, to their Directors, and to family members. These include driving property developments in the UK, overseeing the letting and management of properties in the UK, handling trade financing for various companies in the Group, receiving letters of credit for the purchase of equipment for import to Nigeria, and managing some Special Purpose Vehicles which get set up for specific projects. In addition the individual will undertake adhoc projects for the Chairman and family members.
The position has arisen as a result of the retirement of the existing post holder who over a number of years has worked with the Chairman, family members and various executive staff on a range of business and family matters.
You will have sound knowledge and experience of business administration and office management, hands-on experience of facilities and estate management, and have good communication and report writing skills. With a mature outlook, you will be able to work largely on your own, juggling multiple priorities and being highly organized. And perhaps above all, you will be able to quickly engender a level of trust with the Chairman, Directors and family members through your responsiveness and ability to simply get things done.
