Creating a safer future by managing radioactive waste effectively, to protect people and the environment.

Head of Campaigns

Competitive Package

Radioactive Waste Management Limited (RWM) has been established to deliver a geological disposal facility (GDF) and provide solutions for the management of radioactive waste.  This represents a major multi-billion pound national infrastructure programme. RWM is a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Nuclear Decommissioning Authority which is responsible under the Energy Act 2004, for the clean-up of the UK’s publicly owned civil nuclear legacy sites including the management of radioactive waste.

As part of the transition into delivering on RWM’s programme of activities, we require a

Head of Campaigns, who will lead an integrated communications campaign designed to build awareness nationally and locally of the GDF siting process, creating an environment in which communities interested in discussing the siting of the GDF in their area come forward to join and then remain in the process.

As Head of Campaigns, you will have a proven track record of leadership in developing and delivering national campaigns, whilst securing positive engagement and interest of a diverse stakeholder interface. You will be someone who has dealt with highly contentious issues, whilst sustaining a positive organisational profile in complex environments. Furthermore, your ability to develop strategies and tactics to engage, influence and persuade key stakeholders and decision makers to gain sustained commitment and interest in the GDF siting process will be second to none.

Closing date for applications is: Friday 2nd February 2018
