Location: Harwell, Oxfordshire.
Organisation: Radioactive Waste Management Limited
Creating a safer future by managing radioactive waste effectively, to protect people and the environment.
Radioactive Waste Management Limited (RWM) has been established to deliver a geological disposal facility (GDF) and provide solutions for the management of radioactive waste. This represents a major multi-billion pound national infrastructure programme. RWM is a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Nuclear Decommissioning Authority (NDA) which is responsible under the Energy Act 2004, for the clean-up of the UK’s publicly owned civil nuclear legacy sites including the management of radioactive waste.
As part of the transformation in developing a company-wide Portfolio, Programme and Project Management (P3M) capability that will provide the necessary programme assurance and review capability for RWMs activities, we now require a Head of Programme Integration to ensure RWM’s portfolio is fully integrated, coordinated and collaborative.
You will need to eradicate the tendency for “siloed” working that currently exists across delivery areas and establish a collaborative and constructive environment for Project Managers in which they are formally linked to the Programme Directorate, rather than participation being voluntary. Through the development of a synergetic culture that is embraced across the business, this role will ensure that all activities within the portfolio are fully integrated and managed and that the business is prepared for change.
Our most important asset is our people and we will provide a supportive and inclusive work environment in which they can realise their full potential.
