Location: Harwell, Oxfordshire.
Organisation: Radioactive Waste Management Limited
Radioactive Waste Management Limited (RWM) has been established to deliver a geological disposal facility (GDF) and provide solutions for the management of radioactive waste. This represents a major multi-billion pound national infrastructure programme. RWM is a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Nuclear Decommissioning Authority which is responsible under the Energy Act 2004, for the clean-up of the UK’s publicly owned civil nuclear legacy sites including the management of radioactive waste.
As part of the transition into delivering on RWM’s programme of activities, we require a knowledgeable, respected Security Manager to join our team. You will play a pivotal role in planning, delivering and assuring the security of RWM’s operations. Ensuring RWM meets statutory obligations and regulatory requirements, you will ensure that there is effective risk assessment, planning, training, oversight and collaboration to optimise security.
In a vitally important role, you will lead the delivery and development of security for RWM as its sensitive and safety-critical work proceeds. You will shape the security function at RWM and be the first “port of call” for questions from a variety of stakeholders. You will champion security within RWM and work closely with the Civil Nuclear Constabulary and Police forces, the Ministry of Defence (MoD), the Office for Nuclear Regulation (ONR), the Department for Business, Energy & Industrial Strategy (BEIS) and others as required.
Please contact us if you have the skills and commitment to help deliver this essential national project with the assurance of security.
Closing date for applications: 25th January 2019
