Location: Harwell, Oxfordshire.
Organisation: Radioactive Waste Management Limited
Creating a safer future by managing radioactive waste effectively, to protect people and the environment.
From electricity production to defence of the nation and medical uses, the UK has benefitted from nuclear technology for more than 60 years. Now Radioactive Waste Management (RWM) is working to support and deliver safe and secure approaches to the way we deal with radioactive waste.
As part of this work, RWM will be leading delivery of a major infrastructure project called a Geological Disposal Facility for the permanent disposal of radioactive wastes. Similar projects are already underway in countries like Finland and Sweden. The project – to be developed in partnership with willing local communities - will provide jobs, skills and investment for more than 100 years.
We are building a skilled and experienced corporate communication team at RWM. A key focus of the team is on ensuring that stakeholders and communities have the platforms and information they need to understand and engage with our work.
To help lead this activity, we are looking for a confident and talented engagement professional to join our team. In this vital role – working with a range of experts including scientists and engineers - you will oversee and guide RWM’s engagement with our broad range of key corporate stakeholders, groups, and individuals, including Governments, Parliamentarians and industry.
Closing date for applications is: Wednesday 12th December 2018
