Organisation: Historic Coventry Trust
We need an inclusive and inventive volunteer co-ordinator to set
up and run the volunteering programme at Coventry’s Charterhouse and London
Road Cemetery for Historic Coventry Trust.
Historic Coventry Trust is an ambitious and entrepreneurial charity with a mission to act as the champion of all heritage at risk in Coventry and to become its permanent guardian. We are a pioneering ‘heritage development trust’ on a journey to create a self-sufficient charity using revenue generated from property income to sustain a portfolio of 22 heritage assets which are being transferred to our care from Coventry City Council. You have the opportunity to join us at a formative stage – helping to create the projects, activities, teams and culture that will ensure we succeed in restoring and reusing Coventry’s heritage for the future.
We are working collaboratively with the National Trust and Coventry City Council to recruit a volunteer co-ordinator to set up and run a compelling and innovative volunteering programme at the National Lottery Heritage Funded projects at Coventry’s Charterhouse and London Road Cemetery. Capital repairs on both sites are due to complete by the end of 2020. This full-time role will report to the Education & Engagement Manager and will be responsible for recruiting, managing and supporting volunteer teams and their managers for Historic Coventry Trust, the National Trust and Coventry City Council at these sites.
If you have experience in recruiting and managing volunteer teams, working collaboratively with a wide range of people, partners and communities, experience of event management, excellent project management skills and great organisational skills we’d love to hear from you.
