We are looking for an experienced, dynamic and innovative General
Manager to set up and run a new heritage visitor attraction at Coventry’s Grade
I listed Charterhouse.
Historic Coventry Trust is an ambitious and entrepreneurial
charity with a mission to act as the champion of all heritage at risk in
Coventry and to become its permanent guardian. We are a pioneering
‘heritage development trust’ on a journey to create a self-sufficient charity using
revenue generated from property income to sustain a portfolio of 22 heritage
assets which are being transferred to our care from Coventry City
Council. You have the opportunity to join us at a formative stage –
helping to create the projects, activities, teams and
culture that will ensure we succeed in restoring and reusing Coventry’s
heritage for the future.
As our National Lottery Heritage Funded repair and landscaping
works draw to a close at Charterhouse we are recruiting for the team who will
prepare and open the site to the public in 2021. This new full-time role
will manage a small team of staff and volunteers to ensure the Trust’s flagship
project provides a great visitor experience at one of Coventry’s new visitor
attractions during City of Culture year and beyond.
If you have experience in running heritage visitor attractions,
managing teams of staff and volunteers, creating new business opportunities and
ensuring a fantastic visitor experience then this is an opportunity for
you. For more information, please go to https://ww2.rockpools.co.uk/Webport/Jobs
The post will be based at Charterhouse, Coventry.
